Why Counselling?

People seek counselling for many reasons, and it can help with many different issues - such as

  • Mental Health Concerns: Such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or stress.
  • Life Transitions: Like divorce, job loss, relocation, or retirement.

  • Relationship Issues: Such as conflicts with partners, family members, or friends.

  • Self-Exploration and Growth: Wanting to understand oneself better and develop personal insight.

  • Grief and Loss: Dealing with the death of a loved one or coping with other forms of loss.

  • Addiction and Substance Abuse: Seeking support for overcoming addict behaviours.

  • Neurodivergence - Support navigating unique cognitive processes and societal challenges.
  • Low Self-Esteem: Struggling with confidence, self-worth, or identity issues.

  • Workplace Challenges: Dealing with stress, burnout, or conflicts in the workplace.

  • Anger Management: Learning to control anger or aggression in a healthy way.

  • Health Concerns: Coping with chronic illness, disability, or other health-related issues.

  • Decision-Making: Assistance with making important life choices or navigating dilemmas.

  • Family Dynamics - Dealing with unhealthy family dynamics.

These are just a few examples, as counselling can provide support for a wide range of emotional, psychological, and relational challenges.

Whatever the reason, counselling offers a space for you to say your thoughts aloud, to organise them and gain better understanding of what is going on for you.
