Supporting Clients with ADHD & Neurodiversity

As a Humanistic Integrative counsellor I am passionate about working with others who are diagnosed, self-identifying, or exploring their neurodivergence.

My personal life is deeply rooted in neurodivergent experience. My partner and eldest son are both diagnosed with ADHD, and we also suspect autism and ADHD may be present elsewhere in our family.

These lived experiences have shaped how I show up as a therapist: with deep empathy, curiosity, and a commitment to holding space for different ways of being.

I aim to offer tailored, compassionate support that honours each person's unique strengths, challenges, and ways of relating to the world.

Working with Neurodivergent Individuals

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to personalised and affirming mental health care.

As part of my commitment to personalised care, I encourage clients to explore various ways of engaging in our sessions that best suit their needs and preferences. For example, some individuals may find it helpful to occupy their hands during a session by doodling, drawing, crocheting, or knitting. This can create a more comfortable and relaxed environment, allowing for a deeper sense of connection and openness.

My goal is to support each client in finding strategies that work best for them as they navigate their therapeutic journey.
